Prelude

As the adh-Dhib glided through space above Concilium Prima, a small shuttle detached, and slid gracefully towards the planet below. Aboard the shuttle Ra’id Maih Aafah was checking her equipment for the 10th time. She had finally traded in her older Ghulam equipment that had been with her for years for more armor, a multispectral visor, and a newer model of marksman rifle.Looking around the bay she saw most of her unit following her lead on equipment check.

“Ra’id, landing zone and entry looks smooth. No contact, and adh-Dhib flight control has confirmed, we should touch down at the outskirts of the facility in about two hours.”

“Copy.” Maih replied to the pilot over the commlink.

“2 hours ladies and gentlemen. Bismillah!” she relayed ott he unit.

“Inshallah!” several responded.

“Ra’id, new meteorological information. A surprise cold snap is coming in from the north and could pose a danger to the area. Due to the fighting in the facility they do not appear to be activating their heating units to ensure the facilities safety. Primary orders have changed to activation of several heating units. Controls should be close by, we will set you down as close as we can. You will only have a couple of hours to activate the units. How copy?” the pilots voice returned, in the usual business like tone.

“Copy, activation of the heating units is critical and first priority.”

Deployment

A couple hours of shuttle ride later, and a sore butt, the transport settled down lightly in a clearing of the jungle surrounding the Darpan Xeno-farm. The engines shut down smoothly, and their usual whine died down until the sounds of the jungle and wildlife broke through the silence that came. Picking up equipment and loading weapons, the task force walked down the ramp and assembled outside of the shuttle. From the try line, friendly pings emanated first as several individuals came out. The lithe armored figure of an asawira was unmistakable as well as the coats and visors of the Govads. With them came a short, but beautiful Yu Jing scientist who waved to the group.

“As-salaam alaikum Ra’id Aafah.” She said as the group got near.

“Wa-sallam alaikum, I assume you are the Bahram contingent that will be attaching to ours?”

“Yes. I am Alya Davani. This is Sarvan Ava Hakimi, and on the HMG is Sarjuke Nasrin Paria of the Govads, this is Naqib Sharifa Mostafa of the Asawira, Sarjuke Abas Esfandiari of the Muyibs, and the one on quantronic and infowar duty is the Barid Sarjuke Cyrus Jahandar. The Farzan that joined us have already advanced ahead to gain intel, and I will be joining them shortly. With the lack of time we have they are studying the heating units to ensure they can still be activated.”
“Understood, lets move out then as we all seem ready. Sarjuke Johander, and Naqib Mostafa, you are with me. Husam Sharif, you will attach to Sarvan Hakimi’s unit and assist them where needed. Lets move out. Questions can be answered on the way.”

Task Force 29 then entered the jungle advancing on the facility in quiet readiness.

Outskirts of the Darpan Xeno-Stations
Task Force 29 with their Hassassin Bahram liasons (Maih Aafah counts as Yara Hadad)
Left Flank of the Hassassins has the Govad HMG able to fire down the main road.
Right flank of the Hassassins has the majority of troops.
Right Deployment of JSA (a good amount of proxies as the player was growing the collection)
Left deployment of JSA, with a Tanko Proxy.
Alya the Fiday deployed with the idea of using her gun more than CC.
Oyoroi deployed in the open. A lot of discussion happened, but she wanted to try and defend the flank with the HFT.
Shikami deployed safely expecting to use his climbing plus.

Turn 1

Alya Davani trusted in her disguise as she entered the facility, taking a pad out, she began scrawling the facility network. The Barid Cyrus already provided the administration protocols so it had access to everything in the facility. As she walked among the buildings she heard activity.

“Strange, that sounds like remotes and heavy equipment. Most of this area should just be civilians…”

Pressing up against a building she heard the sounds by, she edged around the corner, taking a peak. A panguilang was standing with a Tanko, as the Tanko was pulling out equipment, and loading his weapons. Further was a Keisotsu obviously on lookout and an engineer's remote. Ducking back behind the building, she pinged Maih Aafah.

“Ra’id, I have come in contact with Japanese Secessionist forces. They seem to be gearing up for an operation.”

“Copy, we are in position and I can confirm additional JSA forces. I see an O-Yoroi and additional Tanko. Engage as you see fit. We have a mission and the JSA did not inform us of any operations in this area.”

The holographic fields of her disguise collapsed as Alya pulled out her rifle and underslung shotgun. Pushing off the wall, her shotgun went off, blasting into the chest of the Tanko. His armor absorbed the first couple of shots as he turned to face her, but the fourth and fifth blasted through the weakened areas of the previous hits. The Panguilang began to try and escape, its robotic legs moving quickly, but Alyas shotgun blasted again, putting the remote down.

Shotguns are great.

Further away Ghazi Muttawiah made their appearance, “Ra’id we have been working in this facility but were pinged by Bahram communications. We are here to assist!”

As usual, they took the mission onto themselves and began running forwards without prompting. Throwing smoke grenades (albeit haphazardly). Their assistance was still welcome, and Maih knew how to use irregulars to their utmost.

Maih led her unit forwards taking positions round one of the heating control panels. Motioning to the Asawira Sharifa to take the corner and using Hassassin hand signals she silently informed the gun fighter of the TAG residing nearby. Nodding, the asawira disappeared into some smoke provided by the Ghazi Muttahwia. Edging the corner, she kept her spitfire up and trained as TAG height. Finally she got sight and depressed the trigger. The weapon roared to life, spitting a stream of rounds. Most smacked into the armor, and even with their armor piercing heads only one cut through. The TAG was quick to respond, seaking cover.

Maih Aafah leading the team forward.
Sharifa engaging the TAG in the open, hoping to do more damage than she actually did.

Pulling back, Cyrus launched his repeaters ahead of the unit to gain a bubble of quantronic control and listening. The unit took cover along the narrow alleys and Maih saw the camouflage of a Farzan subtly disappear as she advanced out of the alley and toward the heating control panel. Deftly entering some commands the air around them began to warm up as the consol pinged.

“Heating unit activated Ra’id.” the voice of the Farzan came over the comms.

“Copy, Sarjuke Esfandiari, take your rocket launcher and get ontop of this low building infront of is.” Maih said, turning to Muyib.

Nodding, he slung the heavy rocket launcher on his back and moved to the ladder, deftly climbing up, he spied a Keisostu who saw him as well. The JSA soldier tried to dodge down the stairs he was ascending but was too slow. With a deft motion, the Muyib swung the HRL onto his shoulder and snapped a shot off, the rocket making direct contact and the enemy soldier exploding.
The JSA were thrown into disarray but the Tanko sprung into action as they quickly advanced. Coming around the building he shot off a flammen spear towards the Muttawiah Caleb. The man deftly dodge though, rolling towards the Tanko, as Maihs squad returned fire. Astonishly the heavy soldiers' armor withstood the hit and the Asawira, the Muyib, and the Ghulam ducked further into cover, spreading out.

Advancing again the Tanko let loose his shotgun at Caleb, but the man had Allahs luck and he dodge forward again, closing the distance with the soldier just as Esfarandiaris rocket impacted with the Tanko, killing him instantly.

The O-yoroi sprung to life as it sighted the Muyib on the building, and its HMG roared to life. Esfandiari stood his ground though, loading and firing his rocket launcher as the bullets whizzed around him. A couple of his rockets made contact, but the majority slammed into the building and cover the TAG was using, starting fires on them. Yuriko snuck up and tried to get a few shots off on his side, one managed to slip through and hit his side.

“Devil! You will not advance on our position! Allahu Akbar!” he screamed as the storm of incoming fire danced across his armor and cover.

This was the alley of bullets.

A Tanko tried to sneak up behind his position but Cyrus saw it advance over his Quantronic net. Unfortunately the Tanko was faster on the draw, and a flammenspear slammed into him. His armor took the brunt of the hit but he was still knocked down, blood coming from a head wound as he grit his teeth. The Tanko tried advancing more but a round into his leg from the Farzans rifle stopped him in his tracks.

“Medic!” Cyrus yelled through the comm.

The firefight between the Muyib and the TAG continued, David and Goliath. Caleb, the Muttawiah tried to help, but a heavy tag round slammed into his chest and he collapsed. Finally the firing stopped as the TAG reloaded amid the smoke around it.

“Clear….advance…” the Muyib coughed out before he collapsed on the building, his armor torn and shredded from the fighting, blood pooling out around him.

The fighting was fierce for about 8 orders. The Muyib withstood about 15 armor saves only going dogged, the TAG withstood about 4 armor saves, only taking 1.
Fighting continues...
Farzan outshot the Tanko and got a wound into him.
Yuriko tried to take advantage of a closer range firefight but the Muyib shrugged it off.

Turn 2

“You heard him! Advance! Sharifa come around this building, and engage that TAG, its badly damaged. Put it down! Palavi! I need you up here, we got casualties!” Maih barked orders through the units comm.

“Neima, sayidati!” Came a chorus in response.

A brief staccato of heavy machine gun fire down the street, and into the side of the Tanko the Farzan had shot put the JSA heavy infantry face down into the street.

“Path is clear, Doctor Palavi. Ra’id my unit is moving up, we sight of a suspect. Scratch that, a Shikami has just appeared.” came the voice of the Govad over the comms.

The Govad also got flashpulse blinded.

As the Muttahwia Amanda advanced, her jammer pinged and she tried to tag the target, but the BTS saved the target. Just then a Shikami came leaping and dodging from the top of a building, landing on the platform below and in the path of the advancing Govads and Ghazi.

“Okay twinkle toes! Taste shotgun!” she yelled, he gun coughing shot after shot.

The Shikami deftly dodged the shots, and came face to face with the Ghazi, who tried stepping back, but the JSA specialist didnt let her.

“Amanda! Duck!” Came Leilas voice from behind the Ghazi.

“Wha-” her response was cut short as the Shikami deftly grabbed her and moved her into the incoming fire of a shotgun, slamming her in the back.

The woman collapsed as the shots continued, and the Shikami dodged.

“Damn demon!” the Govad Ava yelled, racking shot after shot.

“Ava, thank you for distracting this beast.” Came a voice over the comms.
The camouflage field collapsed from the Farzan as he came up behind the Shikami and his boarding shotgun roared, slamming into the back of the enemy soldier. He lurched forward, dead, on the ground.

“Allah guide your soul.”

This Shikami was tough to put down.
Shooting someone in the back is the tried and true though.

Just then Pallavis nasmat went running by and screeched as a flash pulse hit its optical center.

Across the field, Palavi vaulted over a car, as she ran quickly through the streets, her mechanical winglets moving in relation to her speed and turns to keep her balanced.

“Bismallah…running is so much easier now…” she muttered.

As she turned into the alley with the bleeding Barid, she came sliding to a stop next to him, working quickly to stop the bleeding and providing fast acting medication to numb the pain.

“Shukran lak, Doctor.” Cyrus says, standing up and grabbing his rifle.

Just then the Asawira rounded the corner of the building by them, and her spitfire opened up, pounding into the chest of the O-yoroi. The beast finally collapsed as the bullets broke through the armor. Advancing further down the street, her spitfire opened up again at the exposed Kempeitai, his body collapsing in the street.

“Threats neutralized, advance.” Maih Aafah said over comms.

Alyas rifle reported in the distance briefly, putting down another Keisotsu. The rest of the unit began advancing. Palavi began rendering medical aid to the Muyib, Esfandiari as the JSA forces began retreating.

You can always count on the Ghulam Doctors.
Apply more AP bullets.

Conclusion

The last of the hostile forces were routed as the cold broke in, catching them off guard. Luckily for Maih, none of her forces were caught out in the open and all reported back that they were fine. The Govad unit succeeded in capturing a scientist, and checking his identity came up with irregularities.

“Ra’id, I think we have some thing here.” Sarvan Hakimi said as the Govad dragged a man forward, bound in flexcuffs.

He was screaming in Mandarin, obviously panicked.

Alya came walking up after a few minutes, a fur coat acquired from somewhere over her reapplied scientists disguise. When the cuffed man saw her, he began pleading to her in Mandarin.
“What is he saying?” Maih asked.

“He asks why he is being captured or detained, he's innocent, he's just a researcher here. Let me talk with him one moment.” she said.

Picking him up gently, she led him a few steps away and began talking quietly, and comfortingly.” They had a brief conversation before she pushed him away and kicked his legs out, drawing a haqqislamic scimitar from seeming nowhere.

“I can assume,” Maih began,”he is one of the individuals we are seeking?”

“Indeed he is. Equinox does so love their code words which is why it's easy to figure out one if you know what you're doing. I think we can get some information out of this one, let's load him in the shuttle.” Alya explains.

Nodding, Maih began relaying orders over the communications channel to pull back to the shuttle. Another four hours later they were approaching the adh-Dhi’b for docking, and for one scientist, a very bad time.
