Durgama Takeover

Xiu could not believe it; the damage to the AC2 had degraded the security measures and the Reliquary capture was broadcasted unsecured to the DDC headquarters. They had been found deep in the former Pan Oceania base, in what were several interesting technological devices, specifically with regards to optics and ballistic aim assist. These items were going to take time, to study, to dismantle and to load on drop ships… and now, everyone in the surrounding area knew. She knew it was only a matter of time before every tech junkie in the universe descended on her Azure Dragons.

“Yang, get your group out there, I want plenty of warning”, said Xiu.

Yang replied, “Yes ma’am. I’ll kick out our reconnaissance troops and ensure we have an effective screening force.

Xiu knew all too well from her time at the DDC coordination center that it wasn’t an “if” the Nomads show up, but “when”.

“Here we go gents, let's finish this job on Durgama and get back to Bei Tu.” Xiu loaded and cocked her mk12; it was time to end this campaign.

T1 Nomads - The EVO bot puts up a controlled jump and the Hellcat with spitfire comes down. In doing so it is targeted through the repeater. It looks to see what the camouflage token is, reveals to be a Guilang with BSG and the Hellcat dodges away harmlessly. It then proceeds to get an angle on the Zhanshi hacker and paramedic and dispatches both with ease. The Moran deployed another round of koalas. The turn ends with the EVO bot putting up assisted fire on the TR bot.

T1 Yu Jing - The Guilang despite needing 20’s to hit the Hellcat, cannot do so for several rounds and uses four orders and a command token to convert the Beasthunters irregular order to finally bring him down. The Monk haris moves to the midfield and throws smoke down blind the TR Bot. With orders running low they cannot make a play for Billie and the EM Mine. The Lu Duan then runs into midfield and uses its holoechoes to pop two koalas.

T2 Nomads - The EVO bot puts up a controlled jump and another drop troop comes down in the middle of the deployment near the YJ fireteam core. The Nomad drops a repeater and Jazz attempts to hack. However, a successful reset with the trust tinbot sees the Shang Ji retreat out of hacking range and brings the AP Shock HMG around to face the Hellcat. The Nomad fireteam core moves and is led by the NCO spitfire and takes aim at Laing Kai who is able to dodge… unfortunately the monk behind him proceeds to be taken down. EVO bot puts assisted fire back on the TR bot.

T2 Yu Jing - The Shang-Ji clears the hell cat and repeater and moves up to engage a flash pulse bot, which it brings down. The monk throws some smoke and the Lu Duan moves up the field, allowing its holoecho to clear the remaining koalas. It then ends its movement in the middle of the board while in suppression. The holoprojector then activates and opens up the arcs of fire.

T3 Nomads - The Nomads go after their classified and run a helper bot up the field towards the YJ HVT. On the way it picks up the flash pulse bot but eventually triggers Liang Kai to dodge into a face off. The little bot runs in and attempts the data steal but to no luck, however it does make the chain rifle save. The third time however, it successfully completes the data transfer and is put down by the Monk. The Moran attempts to take out the flash bot with its combi rifle but is unable to get clear shot with the incoming flash pulse. However, a very quiet Hundun waits for the last opponant order to reveal and takes out the Moran.

T3 Yu Jing - The Lu Duan moves up and operates the panoply, securing an adhesive launcher. It then proceeds to go after the big link team on the right. Facing down at two heavy flamethrowers the fireteam leader dodges and gets lit up by the mk12. The brave NCO goes down and breaks the link. Now a Tiger Soldier is brought on and it makes a mad dash to the enemy deployment zone and makes a successful dataspike to steal some information from the Nomads by passing its WIP roll. The Shang-Ji then pops out and engages the TR Bot, taking a wound but also wrecking the remote in return.

Xiu saw her soldiers from the 2nd Recce Det come back in good order, albeit missing several members. She knew it was the ultimate sacrifice, not just to the State, to their commander and to their comrades. “Glory will bestow those who died here on Durgama, we have successfully completed our assignment and are being ordered home. After twelve weeks on Epico and two weeks here in the jungle, we will finally see Bei Tu again. Remember we are not home yet, remain vigilant!”
