Aleph takes the initiative and deploys first. Druze chose their deployment zone.

Asura Genever‘s Haris team started the round and moved north of the tower into the middle of the field.
Around the far corner of the tower, the Asura opened fire from her Spitfire on the enemy Core Fireteam and unerringly took out the Brawler with Heavy Rocket Launcher. Without further visible threats, she then approached the hostile HVT, scanned it and fulfilled the Classifieds Follow-Up and HVT Identity Check. With these two objectives done, the link team dispersed. Deva Agent Spiegel took cover, Parvati covered the northern flank and Asura Genever laid down barrage fire into the centre of the Druze line-up.

The disguised Agent Sliver prepared the next direct assault on the Druze, moving straight through the centre to avoid drop fire from Arslan. Her Rifle fired, killing the nearest Brawler, which turned out to be the Lieutenant.
With these successes, Sliver retreated again to support the Asura. Sliver also laid down her barrage and awaited Scarface‘s sure to come onslaught.

The enemy Digger seized the opportunity and attacked along with Cordelia Agen Sliver at the top of the tower. Sliver was mortally wounded but held her position. The Digger fell. Two Yuan-Yuan pirates tried to land between the Aleph teams to the south. But the jungle was so thick that both had to abort their jumps and land with the Druze. With high movement and an extra Panzerfaust, the pirates sprinted towards the Aleph agents‘ deployment zone. Arriving, a Yuan-Yuan unloads its Chainrifle directly into the undergrowth at the Dakinis waiting there. One falls victim to the attack. The others dodge or return fire. The Yuan-Yuan, however, did not survive this suicide mission.
Behind him, Aida Swanson moves in to finish off the battered and now broken Dakini team. The lead Dakini with HMG and another one go down. Aleph‘s firepower in the south is now significantly weakened.
In the north, Scarface now begins his attack. The Asura‘s Spitfire has no effect, nor does her advanced armour. In a hail of bullets, the Asura goes down. Scarface continues to run and also ends the use of Sliver prematurely.

Unfortunately, Scarface simply marched through Alephs defending aspects and much of the firepower was lost in a surprisingly successful counter-attack. However, the agents still had a few aces up their sleeves.
The mobile repeater Lamedh Rebot sped along the northern edge into range of Scarface. Whether it was interference or just bad luck would be analysed later, but after 3 unsuccessful attempts to mark the TAG for the Samekh artillery bot, Deva Agent Heinerklingle gave up an recalibrated his hacking device.
Deva Lieutenant Spiegel in the south moved directly towards Aida Swanson with the remaining Dakini Tacbot and took her in the crossfire. Swanson fell and the pressure on the Aleph units collapsed for the time being. To take advantage of the window of opportunity, the Deva launched a counterattack on the remaining Yuan-Yuan with the Dakini. However, it immediately disappeared behind a wall of smoke. They had no choice but to await the next attack.

The Druze didn‘t flinch for long. A Sierra Dronbot that had been lurking far behind showed itself and fired HMG salvos into the barrage of the last Dakini. The fire fizzled out, however, and the druze‘s dronbot collapsed, riddled with holes from the dakini‘s combirifle. Arslan took over its task. The previously successful Dakini was taken out to clear the way for the Pathfinder dronbots, whose objective was to map Aleph‘s deployment zone. The Pathfinder raced towards the almost non-existent flank of the Aleph agents. A Lamedh Rebot posted there prevented further damage with its Flash Pulse. However, this did not stop the Dronbot from performing In Extremis Recovery on the destroyed Dakinis. Scarface repositioned to directly attack the Lamedh in its proximity with melee. The nimble Rebot however managed to dodge away, still keeping Scarface in repeater range.
It did not look good for the Apects.

Finally Deva Agent Spiegel got his target marker set on Scarface. From the centre of the Aleph deployment zone, three missiles rose into the air, finally ripping the TAG apart and taking it out of the fight. The tower now had to be secured. Parvati and Spiegel moved to the centre to hold their position there and secure the enemy HVT. In the south, Deva Operative Alka tried to secure the perimeter in front of the deployment zone by moving into open field. She just had to survive.

With effort, heavy wounding and help from the remaining Lamedh Rebot, the Deva managed to survive the attacks of the Pathfinder Dronbot and the second Yuan Yuan, taking them both out. She had cleared the area of enemies once again.
In the north, Cordelia failed to restore Scarface‘s TAG to working order. The nightmare of this fight remained motionless in the branches.
The last Druze teams moved to the centre to challenge the Aleph agents. Unfortunately with success.

With heavy casualties on both sides the OSS could not retake ECA-7. But they were able to detect and download important intel from the enemy HVT.

The game ends on a very close draw. 1 inch to be exact. Could Arslan move that one additional inch he would´ve secured my HVT.
All in all it was a very even match. I had some good actions. The first round was insanely good. But the first reactive turn was a disaster. The rest of the game was us clutching every turn. We had to sit down after that and think about what just happened.
