“The truth will set you free…”

An adage to be remembered, an adage to be embraced. Particularly here and now, as the StateEmpire faced the lies and trickery of the so-called ‘Hyperpower’. Their corruption was well known, of course, but rarely so flagrant as now: what reasonable person could look upon the Glottenburg Incursion and not demand correction of NeoTerra’s mistakes, of its crimes?

Too many voices sounded out, through the Maya channels corrupted by the PanOceanians, that one ought ‘live and let live’, that the truth did not in fact drive audience metrics. But to the StateEmpire of Yu Jing the truth was a worthy goal in of itself, and delivering truth unto the Human sphere an aim they would pursue until their final breaths.

Alerts sounded loud across a tactical display, and Jujak officer Kim Mu-chong turned from contemplation of politics to that of action. A Pan-Oceanian counterassault? No, mercenaries, likely seeking the same information his own unit hoped to secure. They did not even make pretense of secure communications, instead broadcasting a cascade of data… they were livestreming their assault??? Ah, yes, of course, the Foreign Company. An engagement here would have inconveniences, restraint would be most called-for. But Yu Jing’s interest here was in truth, and its spread as widely as possible. Let them broadcast that vital truth to the Sphere, that the ‘Hyperpower’ had been stealing and secreting data in their idealized ‘Camelot’. This truth, after all, would free the Human Sphere from such deceptions.

OOC: This was a battle of attrition rather than maneuver… a Core Shang Ji/Jujak fireteam moved in to the armoury immediately, taking turns helping themselves to the contents of the panoplies. As the enemy advanced, the Hundun and then the Long Ya Flammenspeers opened fire in ARO, perishing in process. A Guilang proved the Worker of the Game, sniping (with a shotgun!) several enemy models in the 2nd turn to reduce enemy order pool.

The central link was devastated, its heavy infantry all murdered by end of game, its AP HMG Shang Ji having gathered ARM8 from the panoplies only to be gunned down unceremoniously by Wild Bill. The cybertronic cowboy was eventually felled, and while costs were high the Armoury was held.

I do need to note, very clearly, that Wild Bill got into a gunfight with an ARM8 Shang Ji with AP HMG and just… won unequivocally, how tf do you just murder a TAG-level-armour 2W HI who is shooting you with a machine gun I dont even…
