Welcome Father Marine "Honorem Immaculatum"
.. Begin foreword….
We lost 9 good men; cube recovered but those 9 men I lost to the damned aliens. Operation success. Combined army repulsed, but father please have mercy on my men. The flame was smothered but tactical information gained by survivors will help us against Combined foes. 2 Commendations, one to sister trisha of the TT, she held the objective down, the other to Sergeant Nowak of the Teutonic order, he killed known hacker BITT and brought down a Caliban engineer and finally denied the tech coffin to the Aliens, wounded no less.
… Begin Report proper…

Mendoza Huddles in for the battle

CA Turn 1

Overwatch begins

CA opened with an impersonator attack disguised as Bob the order sergeant. It struck out against our fungazi “Spaniel” who held the line and the speculo failed before it started, unable to get around the collapsed bot. This protected the raveneye officer, core FT and left flank in general. This immediate delay and misplaced BITT and KISS meant that I would not be threatened by hackers.
Realising his options were limited the Sphinx revealed into camo and marched round the right-hand flank avoid pot shots from my FT and warcor thanks to camo. Eventually he would run into the bulleteer “Akita”, knowing there was good trade here I threw my bulleteers heavy shotgun into the Sphinx and dealt a wound, while anecdotal my theory was proven correct, with no visors Mim-6 is hard for TAGs to deal with and with the bulleteer, Mendoza and 2 TTT each would take time to go down to FTF rolls. Akita, however, burned to the HFT, trading one wound for the bot was not the best but granted me hope to kill the TAG. Here an OS hacker or running de fersen would have helped me more, since I could have thrown out a couple of pot shots to slow him down or even control the TAG.
Next up the sphinx attempted to kill my TK spitfire and a lucky critical dodge allowed him to move to better cover and prevent the loss of a key tool. After this the Sphinx struggled to pick apart my orders, only moving a mule bot to unconscious denying Mendoza 2 orders for his attack run. Finally, with G2 CA threw a taiga to kill my EVO hacker “labrador”, this may have saved him from a larger Mendoza run. The taiga berserked and was put down from shots from Mendoza and the RE officer.

Honour Beep boop versus alien beep boop

MO Turn 1

MO opened with a run from Mendoza to avoid one hacker, which would be a seed-solider and into the one with a poorly place move. Luckily only an isolation met Mendoza so he would survive and prevent LOL for a bit longer. With Mendoza isolated and no bulleteer surprise G2 TTT made a move to walk up and grab the LHS antenna, two command tokens for the irregular orders conversions but 100% worth it. A point secured. 2-0 already. Next up the core fireteam would move forward to attempt to midfield tussle, a lone liberto gave us too much hassle to make progress. A smarter play should have been made to eat a LSG shot and kill him so TKs could take the tech coffin and a better defence against the sphinx Poor dodging meant that I lost my crosier to an LSG blast and a wound on my Knight of Santiago (Bodie). The onslaught was coming, and my paramedic ate it to a fish with a vendetta.

CA Turn 2

A Deadly wet noodle figth is about to unfold

CA pounced on my inaction and the sphinx used most of its orders to slowly but surely take out my mulebot ”Retriever”, then would move put 4 orders of shooting into my core fireteam before it started to lose bodies, the spitfire TK continue his lucky streak there was atleast 2 crits on each side here and only went down on order 4 or 5, with no MSV the sphinx was untouched expected for pot shots from my RE officer flash pulsing and forward observing him, neither landed but succeeded in delaying the spitfire from tearing through my fireteam. Eventually only TT Trisha, Srgt Nowak, Mendoza, Lieutenant Alexander, and TT Michael.

MO Turn 2

Revenge for Spainiel !

With me being low on orders I had to be smart and sensible, protect the objective I had taken. First up was Mendoza, while Isolated he could still shoot so he lobbed off a volley of shock into the speculo killing it before the fire consumed her, a hacker loosed a carbonite but failed to land, left flank secured but Mendoza was vulnerable. From hidden deployment the second TT Michael darted towards the box, avoid a flash pulse and shotgun shot thanks to his mimetism. With 2 orders asserted the box as his and waited for the next assault. Lieutenant Alexander broke the 2 man fireteam and dashed forward to protect himself so he could see what came next. Nowak stayed in combat with the Caliban the dance about to begin. Trisha also grabbed the box on this turn.

CA Turn 3

EI will not be pleased at the failures here

If CA hadn’t smelt blood yet then it did now, the sphinx didn’t take its time to kill Alexander, after it coup de graced Retriever scoring a card, no lucky crit dodges here, his allies used them up and Alexand went down. Next up 4 back shots slew Michael, although he done his part. The Sphinx salivated over the antenna charged forwarded, taking Mendoza out on his way in, back shot again, another misplay. It released it pilot as Nowak jumped from melee, 5 chances to take the box the alien had. Before it made the push the Daturazi moved into the tech coffin to secure a win or draw. Pressure was on to the sphinx’s pilot, 11s or less. 19 15 15 12 12. The dice were with me, no hit for the WIP 11 Pilot the antenna stayed mine going into turn 3. With an earlier card scored for CA this put the scores at 5-5. I had to contest the middle or else it would all have been for naught.

MO Turn 3 RETREAT

Battered and bruised Nowak and Trisha held until we could reinforce. Impetuously Nowak activated charging forward eating a wound from Daturazi’s grenade but avoiding the shotgun of the liberto. With his last irregular order of the game, he grab the centre tech coffin and secure that neither of us controlled it.

• TT Trisha is uncontested and holds the LHS antenna 3pts
• Tech coffin denied 0pts
• RHS Antenna remains mine 2pts
• CA has predator card 1pt

Finale Score 5-2 to MO

Lesson learns, watch where your HI goes, have a sphinx and an avatar plan beyond an angry bulleteer, a random escort sergeant with a hacking device might have seriously saved me.
Overall, a fantastic game and some lucky crits here and there seriously preventing me from losing.
