"Sir, we will have to send you straight back to the surface"
Karl-Heinz hadnt left the room where they facilitated the remote TAG control, when an officer rushed in. "We have an urgent request of Joan of Arc to support her against combined forces at Cameliard Reliquary. She suspects, something is of with the opposing force and asked for TAG support and specificly one controlled by you."
"How did i get that honor..."
"We can't detect a lot of combined Forces on the ground so we dont know why this would warrant TAGs, sir."
Karl-Heinz was already reentering the access pod "Well if the maiden asks for my support, i could never refuse. Get me that Tik pilot from last week. He achieved much more then i did and surely wants to fight with the maiden too."

Karl-Heinz established control over a TAG, chose a Spitfire, linked an Auxbot and rushed from the mechanical depot towards the meeting point. Getting close to Joans position he noticed some familiar Comm ID's showing up on his HUD. -Well if those aren't the people who fought with joan on the raveneye. They must have heard Joans comms and rushed to her side like i did or... maybe i underestimated the PR efforts of the bureau. - Karl-Heinz thought to himself.

"Father-in-command Karl-Heinz Russ reporting in. Whats the situation?"
"We were on a field trip when my drones picked up movement. We could identify several camouflaged units closing in on our position but the force composition is to small." Joan reported, calmly and awakening a sense of determination in Karl-Heinz."I suspect something big is approaching, but we cant retreat at this moment. There is a secured Data cash upahead, that we need to either retrieve or destroy. We also have weapon cashes upahead that will help us defend."
"If i may, i will lead the charge with my Seraph. It should destroy any object i ..."
Orbital command pushed an alert message over comms " All troops at Cameliard, large heat signature detected. All troops with Cube implants and information above azure cleareance are to immideatly retreat. Avatar encounter imminent. Avatar encounter imminent."

Silence grasped the forces tucked away surrounding Joan.

"Listen up everybody. You are free to fallback and let me and the mechanized units face this threat. There is no shame in preserving live and we only stand to gain ground here. No more than dirt." Joan hadn't even had to raise her voice as the units present were bound to her voice. "The TAGs will lead the charge and i will follow them. No harm will come to you from what ever is approaching us. I will personally see to the enemys destruction."

And so, nobody left the maiden that day. A force, some would later tout as a covert PR group assembled of crackmecenarys, would face the greatest threat known to humankind. An Avatar. The people present however knew different. They had fought together with joan before and knew to trust her. They had seen her inspire others to achieve things thought unrealistic.

Everybody present knew, they would win as the maiden was with them and they were with the maiden.
