The recent increase in Yu Jing activity in the area of Cameliard has been an obvious point of contention in the battle for Durgama with the Combined Army’s attack drawing away resources that could be used to investigate the causes for their recent interloping. During a surprisingly uneventful few patrols, I reached out to a local Military Order commander to test our forces to ensure they were prepared for any future interventions with the nearby Yu Jing.

………………Document Recording the Training Events………

………………………Cameliard……………..
The exercise consisted of who could control an armory in the middle of the field. The armory was placed in a location that was being used as a sleeping area for military forces in the area that had recently been vacated due to the nearby hostilities.

Non-lethal rounds only.

………..Operation details……………..

Military Orders Turn 1:
The gallant forces of the military orders took the initiative and charged the side of the armory with a bulleteer that would be a perfect overwatch should anything open the doors of the armory and walk in hoping for any goodies. A team of hospital knights with the one and only Joan stormed our right flank and quickly disabled our psi-cop hacker that was hoping to interfere with the knights ability to move with hacking from a knight named De Ferson. A nearby bluecoat who was positioned to ensure no one could flank the currently sleeping psi-cop was then knocked out easily by the metal behemoths. The knight team then, accidentally, came into the firing lane of our Hector who was there to lead the training exercise. Hector was too slow on his feet and was gunned down easily by the attacking knights. Hippolyta came from around a corner and used her nanopulser to scatter the knights and inflict some damage to their thick armor.

O-12 turn 1:
Their attack finally losing steam allowed our Lynx sniper to appear from his hiding spot and to gun down a few of the knights before they ran out of sight behind a building. While the knights were scattering, Hippolyta stormed the team and knocked their doctor out of the battle with a well placed disabling strike before she was hit with multiple rounds to knock her out of the exercise.

Military Orders Turn 2:

Once the Knightly Order managed to regain the initiative, Joan stomped on the sleeping psi-cop, and fell back to a defensive position around the armory to prevent any intruders. The enemy commander realized that he lacked any participants who could properly open the doors to the armory from the lynx’s well placed shots
.
O-12 turn 2:

The crusher crawled around the top of his building to get an angle on an enemy teutonic knight that was a person of interest. He took a few secret images and managed to send them to command. He then attempted to knock the knight out of the fight, but the thick armor managed to deflect everything.

Military Orders Turn 3

The duo of Joan and the last hospital knight snuck around a corner and spotted the plasma carbine lynx who was attempting to sneak into the armory. After figuring out who it was, they tagged him with a spray of pellets that indicated he was done for the exercise.

O-12 Turn 3

The crusher did not have much time to finish the main object, but attempted to remove the heavy weapon wielding teutonic knight. He finally managed to get a round through the armor, but it was not enough. Realizing he would have to rush to the objective, he jumped from the roof of his building, but got tagged by the knight before he even got to the ground. The last member of our force, the cyberghost attempted to rush to the armory, but got a round straight to the eye plate while he attempted to spray bullets down the alley to the armory door that could have secured victory.

The exercise then ended.

After-Battle Thoughts

It was a very enjoyable game with someone who I consistently play against. The game truly came down to the fact that the knights are just tough with more than one wound each. My thought process was to contain the crusader fireteam while Hector dominated the armory. Sadly, Hector was taken out quickly and without any difficulty by a chance opportunity sight line. Once he was gone, it was an uphill slog to attempt to find an opening that could get a model to the armory strong enough to also take on the bulleteer that would immediately start shooting them.

Overall, a very enjoyable experience.
