* “aren’t there meant to be Aliens attacking?” Tavish MacBeardlington mused.
“well I mean besides the Tohaa, we’ve seen those AI nastys with that Bloody Marut, Those Bloody useless drifters with the Gecko’s and the lunch lady body snatchers, I thought the whole point of all of this is that those EI gribblies were trying to take over?”
“I bet you anything its some kind of trick, my pay this week says there’s no CA here”
At this moment (as things are wont to do whenever people say things like “I bet you” or “never happened” or “its so peaceful” ) a transmission cut through Tavish’s musings.
“GIT TA FUCK LADS! THOSE MONKEY BOYS ARE LOOKIN FIR A TASTE O TESEUM!” screamed the voice of his detachments Lt, Syde O’barn (named aptly after this mission for his performance) *

Turn 1:

The Morats seized the initiative pushing hard along the rooftop walkways, there Tyrok rushing headfirst into O’Barn the Mormaer. O’Barn lay suppressing fire but as his name suggests didn’t hit a single thing as the Tyrok appeared to weave between his bursts. They met with blades drawn, O’Barn managed to parry aside the aliens Axe before finishing it off, only to look up and see a rather large warsuit with far too many arms barreling towards him.

The Rasyat attempted to drop on top of the Antipode Controller and Volunteers but instead ended up in his own DZ on an unlucky roll.

The Irmandinho on the roof attempted to get into better position with a Panzerfaust he found abandoned by the Nomads encountered recently (as new, dropped once, never fired) managing a lucky shot on a Morat Vanguard skulking in there DZ before being ripped apart by return fire. The second Irmandinho wasn’t even that lucky, shot as she attempted to cross to a ladder by a Vanguard.

Syde O’Barn (the Mormaer) opened up on the on rushing Kaitok, I’ll let you guess the result.

The Ariadnan’s were being stumped on every front, lucky they remembered Rule 1 of Ariadnan combat doctrine, “any problem may be resolved by the liveral application of dog, if this is ineffective, add more dog” and the Antipodes were released. They charged up the center of the board, slowed by the space blizzards slightly, before leaping on top of the last ground based Vanguard and scaling the side of a building to tie up the Dartok positioned there, all the while dodging shots from the slightly disoriented Rasyat.

Turn 2:

The Morats rallied as there Kaitok charged into O’Barn, beating him into a bloody pulp, they do say four arms are better than two. The last remaining Vanguard than retreated onto the walkway connecting the various rooftops and readied himself for the furry onslaught to come.

AACB (Ariadnan Approved Carboard Box) blending inconspicuously with the bare metal in the cold vacuum of space, the Zennit snuck into position and put an AP round through the Kaitok at close range, freeing the Controller of possible retaliation.

Controller now safe the Antipodes continued there assault, tearing apart the Dartok and than turning to rush the Vanguard, unfortunately for them he was ready. The Vanguard Cut down an antipode in mid leap before his pack mate were able to close the distance and dispatch him, loosing another of there number to a lucky shot from the Rasyat.

Turn 3:

With not much else to do, the last remaining Morat (the Rasyat) finished off a incautious Antipode before seeking cover.

In an attempt to look like he actually took part in the battle Tavish snuck into position took take a shot at the Rasyat, missing completely.

And with a whimper the engagement was over.
