Durgama Takeover

After beating back the first alien assault the men and women of the Ariadna Expeditionary Force were taking a well deserved break. Looking around Lt. Hauser saw his troops restocking ammo pouches, reloading magazines, and a few trying to catch some sleep. He didn't fault them. They had fought well and deserved whatever rest they could get. 'Maybe I could use a little nap.' He thought to himself as he closed his eyes for a moment.

Just then his radio crackled to life. 'LT, we've got movement on the perimeter.' His scouts had just detected another wave.

'Up and at em boys, more aliens need reminded who's station this is.'

We deployed similar to our first engagement, but I moved the Vet Kazak to hold the left, and put my Dog Warrior and Irmandinho in the center.
The Combined army forces spread themselves out a bit more and hugged cover.

The enemy had placed a heavily armed drone on on of the walkways. While it was in cover for now, it had the potential to become a serious threat. I dispatched McMannis to deal with the drone. Thanks to his exceptional stealth capabilities he was able to close on the drone without being spotted and destroy it. Unfortunately, time ran out for him to fall back into cover so I left him exposed without support. The Dog Warrior, Irmandinho, and Maverick moved up to hold the center.

The enemy forces seemed more prepared with this attack and quickly moved to engage. Pavel was taken out of action by the Umbra Legate. I submit myself to full disciplinary action as it was my order that left him exposed.
The enemy unleashed their Taigha beasts onto my forces in the center. Do not underestimate these creatures, while small in stature they are vicious. One engaged the Dog Warrior who was unable to pin him down.

At this point the only threat on the left flank was the Taigha so I dispatched the Maverick to secure the right flank. She engaged the enemy at optimal range with her rockets and managed to push the enemy back on this flank.

Unfortunately, it appears we should have committed more effort to reinforcing the Dog Warrior. The Taigha was relentless in it's attack and managed to pull the giant soldier down. The Umbra and Med-Tech headed to the right flank in an attempt to counter the Maverick.

In shock from seeing the Taigha bring down our Dog Warrior I ordered the Irmandinho to engage. She dispatched the diminutive creature then moved and did the same to his friend. The Veteran Kazak managed to find an angle which allowed a long shot on the Med-Tech and eliminated it easily. Then the Maverick rolled up and dropped a rocket on the Umbra. No enemy remained on the field at this point.
