Durgama Takeover

After one rest cycle Lt. Hauser's troops were surprisingly well rested and eager to get back on duty. Two minor engagements fought with the Combined army seem insignificant compared to the amount of fighting around the planet. They weren'tfully rested, but they wan to do their duty, that want to defend humanity.

'Sir, we're getting reports of hostile forces in our AO.' relayed the lead scout. 'Aliens back for another beating?' 'No sir, they appear to be human forces.'

Lt Hauser did not take any pleasure from killing other humans. It seems like a waste considering the current conditions, but the station must be defended.

'Probably some Shas ploy. To stations, prepare to engage the enemy.'

I ordered Link team Alpha to the left flank and the Dog Warriors to the right. Skirmishers deployed to the counter any advance in the center.

Opposite our position an enemy link deployed to counter Link team Alpha and a Shikami and Karakuri positioned themselves on the left. Most troubling was the deployment of an enemy camo unit on our immediate left.

My immediate concern was the camo token mere feet from our deployment zone. I directed the bloodlust of my Dogs towards the camo. It was a struggle but we discovered it was an Oniwaban. The Dogs managed to drag the infiltrator down, but our Irmandinho was slain in the exchange.

Link Team Alpha engaged the Domaru, but our rounds deflected off his armor with no effect. With our initiative slipping I repositioned our link team to cover any enemy advance.

The enemy opened the assault with a motorcycle charge. Yojimbo gunned up the middle into our sniper's line of fire. While the snipers rounds found their mark, once again the enemy was saved by their armor. The Kuroshi moved up the right flank and attempted to deploy smoke. The experienced trooper struggled to land the smoke. Most likely due to some sort of Shasvastii mind control affecting her performance. With the smoke in place, Yojimbo and the link team could shift positions safely. The brave hero Yojimbo looks for a place to hide.

The Shikami and Karakuri advanced on the left, but effective use of smoke by the dog warriors prevented them from making any gains.

The Dog warriors were very eager to engage at this point and I saw no reason to hold them back. Their charge brought them into range of the Shikami. The Shikami quickly fell to the onslaught.

On the right flank the Spetsnaz realized Yojimbo's hiding spot was not nearly as good as Yojimbo had hoped. The precise fire of the Spetsnaz made quick work of the biker.

Link Team Alpha then is clear to engage. The Domaru is slain, then the Kempei, unfortunately the Kuroshi survives. Again the team repositions to a defensive stance.

With the left flank folding our enemy focused on the right. The Kuroshi led a bold charge, survived a hail of fire, and engaged Link Team Alpha. The Fronotovik was slain and the Vet injured before we could eliminate the threat. A paramedic moved forward and revived the Domaru. It was an impressive effort but too little too late. Our Frontovik brother will be missed, but the battle is ours at this point.

As the Domaru regained consciousness he was riddled with bullets from the Spetsnaz's machine gun. Link Team Alpha advanced while engaging the paramedic. The Dog warriors eliminated the final Kempei.
With the enemy eliminated we repositioned to secure control of the area.
