Durgama Takeover

The final days of fighting in the Durgama Campaign were marked with both naked brutality and eerie quiet. This engagement was one of the latter, in the end.

Shasvastii forces deployed at the edge of a restricted cold storage area with the intent to outlast the defenders while deadly cryonics flooded the area from a breach. Unfortunately, they did not reckon with the tenacity and willpower of the Operations SubSection. Where the Assault forces may have been baited into costly engagements that lost many personnel and l-hosts, the commander played to his strengths and was willing to forgo slaughter when mere area control would suffice.

That, and he was utterly unable to remove a pesky Q-Drone despite the best efforts of a Dakini Fireteam dedicated to that mission.

The actual list of notable engagements is as follows
0. A Taigha is stunned with a Flash from a Mk5
1. Gwailo severely damages Asura LT, who limped away to be patched up by Parvati
2. Dakini Fireteam picks off the Taigha in the open, then destroys suppressing Gwailo via superior range
3. Caliban kills and devours allied Motorized Bounty Hunter
4. Dakini Fireteam kills enemy Motorized Bounty Hunter
5. Sphinx severely damages Dakini Heavy Machinegunner
6. Asura kills Nox Hacker with enhanced Trinity program
7. Asura attempts to kill Cadmus Naish Sheskiin, is severely wounded once again, limps away in Cybermasked state
8. The remaining Nox and Caliban die to the cryonicly compromised area

This ends the list. Normally, these kind of forces would see barely half survive, in this theatre barely half perished. It is amazing what happens when the Shasvastii dont press their advantage and ALEPH cannot kill a single Taigha or biker without spending significant time-resources. In the end, the Sphinx and Sheskiin could not maintain the center in the face of the wounded Asura, healthy Mk3, four Dakinis and a heavily winterized Parvati, and quit the field in shame.

Rumor has it the bounty on Q-Drone scrap at Durgama now exceeds a year’s wages.
