Mission Parameters:
The 866TH MORAT TACTICAL SQUADRON is to escort a set of specialist non-combatants into XIĀNDĂO NEOSTEELWORKS and clear a zone for the specialists to sabotage the human production facilities. Inflicting casualties on opposing combatants is encouraged.

Battlefield Imaging

The Morats squadron carefully entered the zone, trying to keep a low profile and remain hidden until combat had actually begun. They succeed in this motion leaving the Yu Jing defenders caught off guard and were unable to give as concise orders as they would’ve liked
(I used a command token to reduce the Yu Jing order pool).

The Yu Jing Reacts to the Alien Presence: (Yu Jing Turn 1)

The Dao Fei hidden within one of the buildings attempted to hack into the Combined Army HVTs, but even after 3 attempts, it seemed that the voodoo tech was too difficult to breach. If he had succeeded the information would be extremely useful, but with the Morats readying to move, he decided to slip back into concealment.
(HVT Designation is one of the objectives drawn).

All of the Morats, and the supporting Hungries positioned themselves in cover to allow for an all out counter attack the moment the Yu Jing fire reduced. However the Daturazi was far too excited to enter combat. He immediately drew the attention of the Yu Jing fireteam and was shot at. The Daturazi managed to use the in front of him to block the first volley, but instead of staying hidden, peeked out and found his head filled with more lead than flesh.

The Yu Jing fireteam, after dealing with their only visual threat, moved towards a more forward position.

The Morat’s Trident Offensive: (Morat Turn 1)

With the Daturazi perishing, the Morats began their assault. First sending two Hungries as a distraction. From near where the Daturazi perished, a Gaki skittered through a nearby building in order to get closer while not giving the Jujak fireteam a window to slay it. However this avoidance was in vain as the moment it exited the building, it was filled with bullet holes and exploded, causing only damage to the surrounding scenery.

On the opposite side of the battlefield, A lone Preta was ordered to charge forward. As it rushes across the open field, it evades the fire of a Jujak and the defensive turret positioned across the battlefield. It keeps running forward evading the revealed Long Ya’s shooting, but takes a grievous wound from a triggered AP Mine. In its frenzy the Preta ignores its wounds and leaps over an additional mine blast at the Long Ya knocking it offline. The Preta kept charging forward, surviving the shots of the Zanshi, but ultimately perishing to a mine before it could reach the Zanshi.

With the distraction from the flank the Suryat lead his Tarlok fireteam down the middle prong and unleashed his heavy machine gun at the Shang Ji overwhelming the opposing fire from both the Shang Ji and the Jujaks. The Shang Ji was wounded, and dove prone behind their cover.

The Raicho moved down the opposite flank at the same time as the Suryat opening fire, destroying the defensive turret as she marched. With the turret dealt with she continued forward, ignoring the attacks of the Shang Ji and Jujaks she took aim and incapacitated a Jujak under the power of her heavy machine gun.

The Tarlock fireteam capitalized on the Raicho’s opening, distracting the Jujaks and Shang Ji. The Suryat opens fire on a Jujak wounding them before they manage to dive to the ground. The Yaogat then took command from above, and used his sniper rifle to pick off the Jujak that was now helpless on the ground.

With the movement of the rest of the fireteam forward, the Dao Fei attempted to hack and isolate the Suryat, but the firewall proved too capable to be breached in such a hasty attempt. With the data signature of the Dao Fei revealed, the Dartok moved up and unleashed the power of Trinity overwhelming the Dao Fei’s counter hacking, frying the mind entirely.

The Raicho kept the aggression, raining bullets down onto the Shang Ji, but no proper damage managed to get through. The Shang Ji in the midst of all of the ammunition flying, landed a hit into one of the joints of the Raicho, damaging it, but not enough to debilitate it.

The Will to Survive: (Yu Jing Turn 2)

With the Daofei slain, the Yu Jing forces were without a lieutenant. This fight looked already won to the Morats, but humans are very capable when cornered. The Shang Ji took control and began an assault on the Tarlok fireteam. The Shang Ji opened this attack with incapacitating the Kaitok with their heavy machine gun. This was immediately followed with another volley of the heavy machine gun, but the Shang Ji was knocked off target by lucky combi rifle fire. The Shang Ji’s armor proved too strong for the combi rifle to inflict any damage however. One of the Jujaks was knocked unconscious by Yaogat sniper fire while they tried to reposition.

The last Jujak moved up and unleashed his flamethrower over the truck. The fire, disrupted by the foliage, failed to cause any damage to the Kaitok and Suryat. The Sruyat used his chance to unleash a barrage through the stream of fire, wounding the Jujak’s arm. The Jujak however persevered and the continuous flame burnt through the foliage, forcing the Suryat to move and killing the Kaitok.

Crushing the Last of Their Resolve: (Morat Turn 2)

The Yu Jing forcers were barely hanging on, all that was left was to crush them in a gory display. The Raicho maneuvered around the building she was using as cover and shredded the back of the Jujak, still occupied with trying to incinerate the Morat infantry. A Long Ya reveals itself to blast the TAG with a panzerfaust, but the shot goes awry and flies far from the target. Seeing the new target with such a heavy weapon, the Raicho unloads her heavy machine gun, completely disabling the Long Ya.

Moving out into the clearing behind the building, the Raicho unleashes her heavy flamethrower at the now-visible Shang Ji, who returns fire. The armor of both the TAG and the Shang Ji manage to protect against the opposing attacks, but the flamethrower also ignites and destroys a mine off the to the side of the Shang Ji. Moving further into the clearing, another gout of flame leaves the Shang Ji not much more than blackened armor.

With the Shang Ji and Jujak dealt with, the fireteam moves forward a bit and the Dartok attempts to hack into the data banks of the Yu Jing HVTs, regrettably, this Dartok is much better at frying brains than harvesting information, leaving both of the attempts as failures.
(Another failed attempt at HVT Designation).

The Raicho proceeds towards the unconscious Jujaks, and Zhanshi tries their best to stop the TAG but the combi rifle merely bounces off the plating. With savage pleasure, the Raicho approaches and stomps on the heads of the Jujaks leaving horrific bloody pulp behind.
(Achieving the Extreme Prejudice objective).

On the other side of the battlefield, the Oznat and her two remaining Petras moved forward, with the rear no longer a possible risk from a pincer.

BATTLEFIELD IMAGING: UPDATED

Last Ditch Heroics: (Yu Jing Turn 3)

The Yu Jing were down to two soldiers, retreat was the only option left. But the Hundun which had remained hidden until now saw just how at risk the Zhanshi was, and with the bloody pulps next to her, it was obvious what would become of her if she was left. The Hundun took position and aimed at the Raicho. The Oznat began firing on the Hundun, and Raicho soon joined her, but the mimetism meant most of the shots missed. The Hundun didn’t have a much easier time dealing with the TAG’s armor. Each shot did pitiful damage, but with volley after volley the Raicho was left unable to function. Avoiding the combi rifle shots of the Oznat the Hundun managed to escape the battlefield with the Zanshi in tow, injured, but alive.

The Morats, with the zone cleared, let the non-combatants they brought sabotage the area, and the Yu Jing corpses were made into an even more horrific display in order to delay repairs of this area for as long as possible.
