It has been a rough time in Durgama so far for Commander Harlan and the current arrival of Security Chief Arslan made it even worse. To deal with actual 'marketing-issues' (partly due to suboptimal performances so far, but mostly caused by horrific false accusations by a WarCor named Erland Hâkon), Arslan seized all available members of the Shock-Teams and head out into the jungle. As the ALEPH-force arrived at Alfutna, only the presence of high-class mercenaries in the hangar area brought an idea of tomorrow to Harlan.

With their business-looks, ALEPH-forces tried to enter the hangar-area via the outer office-wing.

With mostly uncoordinated structures in the DBS-division, ALEPH takes the first turn and starts from side B.
In the north a Dakini HMG is accompanied by two Myrmidons and a Thorakites in the background, while two Posthumas (Engineer & AP Spitfire), as well as two camouflaged troops, try to engage via the south flank. In the center a second Torakites and a Dakini MSR can be spotted, while three Netrods go down in different positions.
The quick defense, consisting of some REMs, Armand Le Muet, Scarface and Saito Togan, concentrates on the center, with Armand and a Sierra covering it, a Fugazi and Hunzakut in the north and in the south Cordelia and the Brawler Lt covered by the Peacemaker. Saito manages to take a covered position next to the central crate.
The heavy support in shape of an Asura spitfire arrives in the north, Scarface takes the biggest hut in the deployment zone as cover in the south. The local intelligence manages to interrupts communication among the Myrmedons, reducing their range of action for the first turn.

ALEPH 1: Only one shot is needed by the Dakini HMG to shut down the Fugazi in the north and give some space to the Asura. She approaches, discovers the Hunzakut with her enhanced eyes, only to get them blighted by the following flash pulse of the Hunzakut (which I just recognize was a huge mistake on my side, believing FO grants automatically a flash pulse! :/). The Dakini 'sees' the same fate, interrupting the advance on that flank completely. So the south advances coordinated after a heavily camoulfaged troop snuck onto the other side of the wall my Peacemaker is hiding. The other camouflaged troop first plants a mine in front of the Auxbot, then a second one in the center, backing up the Myrmidon shotgun. After a quick walk across the site, he starts firing on the Sierra, but recieves three (!!) critical hits, leaving nothing more than smoke and tissue on the spot.

The Hunzakut uses the flash pulse, in her pocket from old N3-times, with great results!

DBS 1: Since the second Myrmedon is still in LoF of Armand, some quick shots are enough to eleminate the Steel Phalanx troops from the battle. Unfortunately the attempt of the Auxbot to clear the center from the mines and the Naga, fails with the flames not hot enough to burn the second mine and the Naga. This opportunity is used by a Posthuman hacker to isolate the Peacemaker. Building up on the luck in the north, Scarface switches sides, gunning down a Dakini on the way and engaging the Dakini HMG and the Asura. While the Asura manages to dodge behind the northern crate, the Dakini HMG shuts down. This clears the deployment for the Yuan Yuan, dropping successfully and engaging the Asura. Instead of murdering her in CC, two aimed shots of his pistol are enough to knock her out, due to a wound previosly gained from the Hunzakut during her retreat into safety.

ALEPH 2: Without the Asura, coordination is lost. The Posthuman hacker retrieves some data from the nearby HVT (scoring HVT: Espionage), while a Thorakites advances and enters supressive fire.

DBS 2: While the Yuan Yuan, driven by his success, closes up to the shooting Thorakites under smoke and failing to wound him, the Pathfinder advances in the center and guns down the Naga. The Hunzakut gathers the supplies from the northern crate and retreats a bit, while Cordelia sends out a Nasmat to reconnect the missing Fugazi.

The close corners between the buildings hide many dangers.

ALEPH 3: The battle is lost, but every piece of information gathered seems to be helpful for the AI. With this, the Posthuman hacker also immobilizes the Peacemaker to then sneak up to him and the HVT, taking it as a hostage. The MSR Dakini attempts for small revenge on Scarface, shooting minor damage into the TAG, while the Posthuman engineer tries to reach one of the remaining crates and gets blinded by the overwatching Fugazi on the way.

Covering behind the hacked REM, the HVT is taken hostage.

DBS 3: Probably living his best day ever, the Yuan Yuan murders the Thorakites and the Dakini MSR standing in closing distance to him. Saito Togan now has free reign over the central crate, securing more supplies there. To have a chance of collecting some evidence of the Equinox-infiltration in Darpan, Scarface advances to capture the inactive Dakini HMG and Armand lives up to the DBS-doctrine. trying to remove the Posthuman from the HVT, but without success - the Peacemaker is too big.

This ends the game with a 7-2 win for DBS, thanks to two supply-boxes and one classified (Capture) done.

All of the unpleasant events in Durgama seemed to be what was needed in Harlans fate to reach this point, this glorious defeat of the ALEPH-force. Eventhough a hostage was taken and a remote needed to be rebooted several times, his band of irregulars cut like a hot knife through butter, heated by fate.

[OOC: The way the dice fell in this game was the complete turning of tide for me and my opponent. With that, probably not even without my flash pulse-mistake in turn one things would have gone much different. An Asura shot down by a BS 10 pistol in one go? Three crits on 2s from a Sierra in one shot? I am really scared of the crackback now!]
