Durgama Takeover

The corvette stolen from the Raveneye by Ba Fashas landed in the steep hills behind Cameliard. Quickly, almost effortlessly, Ba’s team completed its sabotaging task, hacking a lightly guarded PanOceanian repeater and mining a bridge connecting Cameliard to the supply lines.
The mission was over and the team started making preparations to reach its extraction point, until…

- Sir, we have new directives from Central Command. They want us to split: an offensive infiltration unit must reach the outskirts of Darpan as the rest of us is exfiltrated from an updated location: here are the coordinates.

The attendant handed him a tactical map full of blinking alerts and bombardment notifications.

- We have to rejoin the Submarine Strike Force through…Alfutna? What for?

- We'll have to carry out a rescue mission as we exfiltrate sir, our sleeping agents have collected all the relevant data we needed: we have to bring them back home.

- Unbelievable. Make contact with colonel Graviton, this mission is not on our schedule: I’ll talk him into handing it over to someone else. Also, now that they have split my team in two, I don’t have the resources to accomplish it: they had to think about it earlier.

- We’ll be joined by the survivors of team Mondrian and by a local asset, an undercover engineer. His code name is Vasco.

The commander laughed aggressively, dismissing the attendance with a wave of his hand.

- Whatever, I don’t care about his codename. Make contact with colonel Graviton, quick!

Imperceptively, the attendance flinched.

- About that sir…it’s a W tier mission. You were directly appointed for this. I’m afraid we can’t do anything about it.

Ba Fashas sweared quietly, looking at his troopers buckling up to start the long march..
- Ridiculous. Who signed the executive order?
- It’s...redacted sir.

A chill went down Ba Fashas’s spine.

Shasvastii deployment:
A command token is spent to keep two troopers in reserve.
Taigha on the left corridor, R-Drone right behind. Shrouded inside the lecture hall on the left along with a prone Monstrucker behind him. Nox in total cover in the center, next to a Taigha. Caliban inside the lecture hall on the right. Another Taigha on the right corridor.

Hassassin deployment:
Shakush guards the left corridor close to Leila Sharif who remains in total cover. Monstrucker and Nasmat behind her, also in total cover. Core of Ghulam on the right side with the missile launcher guarding the right corridor.

Final deployments:
Noctifer in hidden deployment facing the Shakush and Jayth in the center, in total cover, close to the Taigha and the Nox.
Fiday in impersonation state between the Shrouded and the Monstrucker.

Hassassin spend a command token to put the Shakush in suppressive fire mode.

TURN 1 - Shasvastii

In the impetuous phase all three Taigha advance. One is blown away by the missile launcher while another goes unconcious shot by the Shakush.
The R-Drone tries to stun the Ghulam with missile launcher but fails
The third Taigha advances inside the lecture hall and reaches the Ghulam with missile launcher from the side, mauling him. The NCO Ghulam reacts and take down the creature.
The Monstrucker discovers the Fiday and shoots him down with his boarding shotgun. Good job Vasco!
The Jayth runs forward, completes the HVT: Identity check and syncs with a civilian to finally trot back to his deployment.
During turn 1, two command tokens are spent to transform irregular orders into regular.

TURN 1 - Hassassin

The Ghulam NCO and the R-Drone exchange fire without effects. The Shakush advances forward, revealing the Noctifer. Shots are fired and the Noctifer first goes dogged and is later removed from play. In the process, he manages to take a wound from the TAG, which advances and reaches the deployment zone: here, a perfect flamethrower blast take down both the Jayth and the Nox. The civilan is now out of sync and the Shasvastii are in loss of lieutenant!

TURN 2 - Shasvastii

The Caliban reaches the Shakush, shredding it to pieces with the help of a command token converting an irregular order into regular. The Monstrucker goes for the civilian in the deployment zone. the Shrouded moves to the center of the lecture hall to have a better sight on it.
At the end of turn 2, Shasvastii are out of command tokens and the Shrouded is appointed as new lieutenant.

TURN 2 - Hassassin

The Ghulam NCO fires a speculative smoke grenade on top of the Shrouded. It miraculously makes it, opening a great opportunity for Leila who gets into the hall and syncs with two civilians.

TURN 3 - Shasvastii

The Monstrucker reaches the civilan and syncs with her. The Shrouded goes ahead and an hacker fight ensures: the Shrouded is victorious and immobilizes Leila, but on the following ARO she successfully resets. Lastly, the Shrouded reaches another civilian and manage to sync with her.

TURN 3 - Hassassin

Leila pops out of cover to confront the Shrouded. He shoots while she tries to Trinity. The alien’s brain melts and the civilian is out of sync. Meanwhile, Leila’s synchronized civilians run for the deployment zone. Lastly, the Hassassin Monstrucker goes for the Taigha, completing the Extreme prejudice classified objective.

At the end of the game, Shasvastii have one civilian in CivEvac State +1

Hassassin wins 5-2

The sun was setting behind the Alfutna Terraforming Studies Unit. In the thick depths of the surrounding jungle, a badly wounded Ba Fashas was trying to connect with the Central Command.

- Commander Ba Fashas to Central Command, over. Please respond. The humans were better prepared than expect-
He panted, choking a scream of pain to avoid revealing is position.

- The Alfutna complex is well guarded with Support Weapons and TAGs. My whole team was killed, except codename Vasco and the civilian he rescued, but I lost them. The mission…is failed.

No answer from the Command, but Ba was sure they were listening.

- I…fought to the last bullet and managed to run away, securing vital information for the EI. I barely make it, I am so lucky to be still alive.

Still no answer, only white noise accompanied by the sounds of Durgama’s fauna.

- Command, please respond. I am Commander Ba Fashas, requesting immedia-

A voice finally came out of the communicator, but it was a voice Ba hadn’t hear from a long time, and really never expected to hear again.
