With so many Reliquaries destroyed, the artifacts long hidden were now up for grabs, with a scramble to control the arena the two beaten and beleaguered forces faced off one last time.

(We were so sick of L&S we decided to do a toned down Supremacy with just the quadrant control for our final game)

Deployment

Yu Jing won the roll off and chose to go first, ALEPH counterdeployed and placed their ARJUNA unit in Suppressive Fire while Yu Jing spread out behind their Long Ya.

Yu Jing Turn 1

Choosing to size the moment, Adil moved out to challenge Andromeda for being sloppy in her deployment. She responded with a targeted attack from her Flaspulse and managed to negate some Adil's focus, but one hit got through and managed to put the ALEPH operative into NWI. Firing again as he moved into cover, Adil was punished for his hubris and was stunned by the Flash Pulse of the ALEPH agent. Changing approach, a Long Ya moved forward and opened fire on the Dakini Sniper, hoping for a lucky hit to down the piece early and managed to score a hit, putting the Dakini into two levels of unconscious. The Long Ya placed its second mine, before moving to cover a more central view of the complex. Seeing the midfield cleared, the Warcor moved forward to have a better view of both lanes and the Long Ya re-entered camo to end the Yu Jing turn.

ALEPH Turn 1 Just as planned, the Proxy mk.1 primed her gizmo kit and after a few awkward seconds of phis checks, the Dakini Sniper was back up and running. A command token later and the damage was almost entirely undone. Knowing she would not have another chance as uncontested as this, Andromeda moved up to engage Adil, firing her Boarding Shotgun into the Crane Agent. Missing the sweet sweet +6' range band by .6 inches, Andromeda took tw breaker rounds to the face and went down. Using his advanced ALEPH calculations, the Shukra knew the central Long Ya was out of Panzerfausts, and moved to identify the enemy. After a quick burst of gunfire, the ALEPH LT put the Yu Jing remote into an unconscious state, and moved back into safety. The rest of ALEPH's turn was spent re-positioning the Dakini sniper to take a shot on Adil, inflicting a wound before the turn ended.

Yu Jing Turn 2

Concerned by the pressure on both flanks, Adil ordered Liang Kai to take his team and work their way up the center of the field. Under the cover of smoke, the trio of monks were able to eliminate the ALEPH LT, and tying up the ARJUNA who was locking down the right Yu Jing flank from suppressive fire. With the last order of the turn Adil attempted to dodge his way into safety from the Dakini but was hit and went down to a precise hit from the ALEPH marksman.

ALEPH Turn 2

In Loss of Lt, ALEPH was running short on options. To kick things off, the ARJUNA decided to do the least calculated play I've ever seen and attempted to strap a set of D-charges to a Shaolin with a stick. Maybe my luck for the event was running out but I rolled a 4 and my opponent rolled an 8. Well, the Shaolin did not survive the D-Charge strapped to his chest and down went the monk fire team. With the link down, the Dakini team used a command token to activate and fired on the Shaolin now with no cover and took him down as well (going unconscious from a chain rifle in return and downing the Dakini link). Moving forward, the other Dakini moved to contest Liang Kai, who managed to hit with his light shot gun in the Face to Face but didn't land any damage, ending ALEPH turn 2

Yu Jing Turn 3

Suffering from Adil going down, Yu Jing's final turn was very short and to the point. Liang Kai flew into a berserker rage and downed the Dakini, suffering a wound in return. The Long Ya revealed itself and fired on the ARJUNA who wasn't in suppressive fire for the first time in the game and blew the poor ALEPH specialist into tiny bits. The Mech-engineer moved forward and used her gizmo kit to get the Long Ya back up and barley functioning again. Thanks to Impetuous and already being irregular, the last Shaolin moved up to try and hold a section on his own.

ALEPH Turn 3

Here at the end of the bloody match, ALEPH had the advantage of not being in loss of LT to try and push up to seize the day. With a coordinated order and the last Command token, ALEPH opened fire on Liang Kai, downing the veteran warrior in the brief gunfight. With the obstacle removed, the Proxy moved forward to open fire on the forward Shaolin and managed to land a hit on the monk. With the last two orders of the game, the Proxy mk.1 moved up and fired into the Long Ya, putting the REM into unconscious to end the game and let ALEPH score for the round.

Conclusion

An insanely bloody game, right down to the wire at the end. I am so grateful for being able to be a part of this experience with the community. Having just joined last fall, I have been utterly blown away by how welcoming and awesome this community is. I really really treasure my chance to get to play with you all and be a part of this awesome narrative. Huge final shout out to RisingPhoenix for getting in these last minute games with me, honor and glory to YJ High Command for directing and leading us during this event, and kudos to all of you who played and wrote such awesome reports for the event! As always, Happy Gaming <3
