Pursing intel on Equinox agents in the region we made contact with the Morat Aggression Force at 04:15 local time. The detachment, lead by Kornak, appeared to be after something in the security vault.
By 04:30, the sun was up and the Morats had seized the initiative. They deployed with heavy numbers on their right flank, while leaving their left flank secured by a Kaitoks squadron. Our scouts confirmed a Biotch infested the area, but the Morats gave it little regard.
Saladin provided decisive orders to counter deploy the enemy. Leaving larger forces on our left flank and relying on the Asawira to hold the right flank against the opposing Kaitoks.
The Morats unleashed their Preta's up their right flank. Our defensive network and our Mukhtar in particular, hindered their advancement any further.
At the same time, through a well executed gambit, a Rasyat walked into our back line and was prepared to wreak havoc. Fortunately for us, he slipped on a banana and stumbled all the way into its own lines.
The Nazarova Twins and a loyal Kum rider delved into the vault to eliminated the Morat group holding the room. They were shot down in the effort.
With no other enemies in the Vault, Al-Djabel moved in to secure the room with a Ghazi Muttaqi'ah. The remainder of our forces moved into more defensible positions, and to avoid the approaching biotechvore.
Even though we had plenty of time... we neglected the REMs we brought for field support. They weren't fast enough and both succumbed to the biotechvore.
At this point all of our troopers and most of the Morat troopers were experiencing Symbiocuirass, making us weaker, but ultimately more resilient. Samples were collected and will be returned to headquarters for analysis - this substance may prove useful to our research teams for medical or combat applications.
The Morats countered, moving out the Preta team. Our Daylami revealed to kill Onzat. We exchanged fire with their Rasyat and Kornak. We took no casualties, but we forced back into cover.
With Al-Djabel securing the Vault, our Mukhtar and Digger moved to eliminate the advancing Pretas. Our goal was only to reduce our enemy's ability to gain a foothold in the vault.
Desperate to take the room, the Morat's Kaitok Harris moved through our Asawira's firing lane. With each unable to kill the other, the Kaitoks moved through.
Taking the Vault, the Morats didn't recognize the impersonator in their midst until it was too late. Al-Djabels Symbiocuirass proved useful, saving his life in both instances where he took a hit.
The Morat's disregard of the biotechvore proved fatal for their remaining troopers.
With the Kaitok distracted, Al-Djabel assonated the last remaining Morat trooper, securing the Vault and the victory for Haqqislam.
Haqq wins 10-0
My opponent won the LT roll and chose to go first. I think Panic Room really favors going second and going first is an uphill battle. If my opponent was going second, I think the Kaitoks and Pretas could have been pretty great at clearing and holding the room.
Fun game against a good opponent. The table was fun too and super thematic for this campaign mission.
If the Rasyat landed on turn one, it could have killed all of my bikes. It would have been much harder for me to clear the room without those bikes and the game would have been completely different.
My opponent was unable to shoot down my Muhktar and it really slowed down his advance. The Mukhtar didn’t kill that many pieces but he was probably my MVP just for slowing down my opponents' attack runs.
Obviously, loosing both my REMs was a mistake. I had done in coordinated order in one of my last orders and had two spots extra where I just did a move move. I added the Barids just to include something but it could have easily been the REMs. Putting them on one of the antenna would have saved them, probably for the remainder of the game.
Wow what a great table
The table is amazing, I like the step by step. Really cool batrep, congratulation !
Well executed with great report, great terrain and great pictures!
Congratulations on your victory, Commander!
Oof! Same thing happened to my Rafiq! I illegally made it part of a coordinated order with units of group 2, but after using all my group one orders I realized I had used an extra, then realized that ther Rafiq was in group 1. I put it back in its starting position, since it was an illegal move and it was eaten by the Biotechvore.
Fun times.
Excellent report and cool pics.
Congrats for your win. The DDC approves this.
Excellent work!
Awesome report, and I love your table!
Beautiful work well done
